We have stayed at this hotel several times before, including several Christmases, and find it to be excellent. The location is within easy walking distance of the city centre and also the excellent Viennese public transport system. The hotel is warm, well kept and comfortable. The food is excellent and the staff are both friendly and most helpful. This is an Austrian national problem and not specific to this hotel - Smoking. Smoking is still permitted in the foyer and bar (which is the only place where snack foods are available). This is most off putting to non smoking users and most noticeable to those coming from countries that do not permit smoking in public places. The smell of cigarette smoke spoils the enjoyment of others. |

The gentleman who was on duty in the cafe/bar was always happy and friendly.The braekfast was good with a wide chose.Room was a nice size with a pleasant ensuite. Not having tea and coffee making facilities in the room. |

good breakfast good, excellent beds, friendly staff outdated, relatively small rooms for 4* hotel. Too noisy due to wintergarten music underneath our hotelwindow, would have preferred a location at the other end of the citycentre because surrounding area is nicer there, however Stefanie is indeed close to U-bahn and shops. |

Very good breakfast and good location to city centre and underground station Not enough tables for 1 or 2 persons at breakfast, which meant that on crowded days, tables became scarce as couples sitting at a table for four became precious about keeping the whole table for themselves |

We were delighted with this hotel. It was peaceful, clean and the breakfast was worthy of 5 stars... Great location too! On our first morning in the hotel, we had to get up at 6.30am and there was only luke warm water for a bath and the same in my friends room on the same corrider for a shower. We decided not to complain, the next morning we got up slightly later and the water was boiling hot! |
