The staff was very accommodating especially with our request to leave a
day earlier than anticipated. The breakfast selection compared to other
hotels at this price was excellent. Also the daily "report" on the table
each morning containing the weather report as well as cultural offerings
was most helpful.

The bed was very hard. This complaint was noted by another reviewer, but
I passed it off as being too discerning. They were right, however, as
the mattress was most uncomfortable. Perhaps another pillow would have
helped too.

Close to centre of town and other attractions

Restaurant was closed for two nights of our four night stay for 'private
parties'. No air-conditioning so rooms were quite hot.

no air con, kitchenette but not even a kettle to make a drink, depending who you asked on reception regarding bus routes and where to catch a particular bus one gave excellent info (evenings) the other gave wrong info (days)

Its very conveniently placed close to the river. About 5 minutes walk to river. Very decently priced, spacious rooms with dining table, kitchenette (i guess it was a studio), good breakfast, and cordial staff.

Location excellent- you could walk to the city .No rental car necessary .Hotel staff - very friendly and informed. Made every effort to help . Breakfast - unbeatable . Fantastic value for money.We had a family room - turned out to be a suite !

The street was very noisy at night - no fault of the hotel at all. Just unfortunate .The hotel estaurant was closed for the three days we were there(apart from breakfast ), but that didn't matter - it is impossible to go hungry in Salzburg !
