Since this hotel was opened in 1913, it has been known as a traditional hotel, famous for its charming Viennese atmosphere.

The 84 comfortable rooms of Erzherzog Rainer, an excellent restaurant offering Austrian specialities, a function room for up to 50 persons and our attentive services provided by the friendly hotel staff will make your stay unforgettable.

The hotel is located 5 minutes walking to the State Opera, the Naschmarket and Karlsplatz. The upcoming "Freihausviertel" where you will find lots of bars and restaurants, is just arrount the corner.

We enjoyed everything - from the beautiful building and interior, to the
friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable staff, and the very generous and

air conditioning was missing which was uncomfortable because of hot days. You might emphasise whether air conditioning exists in the hotels in our website.

We found the hotel very good alltogether. The room was nice but a bit small with the sofa used as an extra bed. In our room there was no air condition and window had to be open during night hours, wich also means that trams and church bells woke us up every morning. We were not going to sleep late anyway, so this wasn't crucial. The food in hotels restaurant was good, as was service, too.

It was extremely comfortable and staff very obliging. We particularly liked the breakfasts as there was so much choice and the service was excellent.

It was very hot so we would have appreciated air conditioning instead of fans, which were supplied. English newspapers in the morning would have been nice!

The rooms are very small for a four star hotel, no air conditioning, which for the summer period is mandatory. It is also unbelivable, that you pay a price for a four star hotel and the view of a room is an inside yard! It does not have a lot in common with the other Schick hotels (Stephanie, City Central, Am Parkring etc), which I warmly recommend!

Central to most city attractions and within walking distance.

The only thing I didnt like about the hotel was the smoking section
downstairs. I think these days all hotels should be non smoking for
the comfort of the ones that choose not to smoke. Apart from that all
was great.

desk staff and decor

Rooms not cleared of glasses
Breakfast insufficientlty staffed and poorly trainedx we had to find our own cofffee table next to us not cleared in half an hour we were at brekafast , no bowls so we had to put fruit and youghurt on flat plates.
We also requested a double bed and had to pay 30 Euros per night more and we wrere given two singles pusshed together.
