The hotel was under renovation and we were offered an upgraded room to compensate. The renovations are extremely attractive. The breakfast buffet was extensive. Extremely personable staff. |

the staff was excellent, the hotel was centrsally located & the breakfast was great no way to adjust the tempin the room...I had to sleep with the window open since it was sooo hot in the room. Also they were under renovation & this should have been mentioned in the booking as they had no bar |

I liked the staff, they are so friendly I have stayed many times, it does not warrant 5 stars, the rooms are tired and old fashioned, i stayed in my usual room and the wall paper was in the same state. It is such a pity that the rooms have not been up dated. It is not worthy of 5 star status - yes the staff make it 5 star. but you pay for 5 star and the rooms are probably 3 star. |

People at the reception desk and people serving breakfast were very helpful, polite and in general great! the room was cold and smelled bad. The bath room was not convenient for taking a bath - the room of the bath was too big to be warmed by the small heating stuff and there were some strange spots in the sink and bath tubs. |

We were upgraded from superior double to junior suite which was fabulous. The staff and service were excellent and the food was the best we have experienced, superb although quite expensive. |

good breakfast. Right at the train station. Day receptionist made things right. A long way from 5 stars. Room stuck in the wood period. First room had built in twin beds, like a dorm for skiers. I declined it and was given a second room , better, but appeared to be from the mid 1890s. Clean, but old fashioned. Wireless didnt work in the room. No english channels except news. Night manager suggested working in the cold lobby, among other helpful ideas. Finally, I didnt sleep well, constantly waking up coughing and found the pillows, cover were feather filled. Not told this and am allergic. |

Breakfast was excellent. Staff were helpful. Room window was two foot away from a wall. It was further away from teh centre of the altstadt than I would have liked. |
