This family-run hotel enjoys an ideal location on the outskirts of the Mozart city of Salzburg and is only 2 kilometres away from the city centre. Thanks to this location you have easy access to all sights.

The hotel consists of 3 parts, including the main building with 45 rooms, the atrium with the lounge and 13 rooms, and the romantic villa with a terrace and 12 rooms. The 70 recently renovated and modernly furnished rooms offer a comfortable ambiance to single travellers and groups alike.

After a long day of sightseeing you can relax in the lobby, enjoying a drink from the bar or use the hotel's free internet access.

The hotel was a 15 minute trolley bus (no 4) away from the centre of Salzburg - and the bus stopped literally right outside the front door of the Turnerwirt (Turnerstrasse stop). The staff were helpful and provided a map of attractions, restaurants etc on arrival and booked tours for us without any problems. Breakfast selection was good.

The lack of communal areas; especially the lack of an attractive lounge where someone could spend sometime, especialy when the weather is not very good! Furthermore, I would expect a mini-bar service in the room

Although a fair walk out of town, the centre was easily accessible via the frequent bus service stopping opposite the hotel

The short distance to the city center combined with the provided parking and the very friendly and polite english speaking staff

Prices which might have been high due to the euro 2008 event. I stayed in an excellent hotel in Vienna for 110 euros/night.

Take bus 23 from bus interchange outside the train station.If you walk, it is 1800m..very long way especially if you are carrying big luggage or hughe backpacks. No air-con in the room.
